Rates and Fees 

Service Rate

At Riding Waves Psychological, the rate for an individual session is $190 per hour. This fee is set with guidance by the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia.

Insurance Coverage

Unfortunately, fees for psychologists (or therapists in general) in Nova Scotia are not covered by your general health plan (MSI). However, many insurance plans (whether private, through work or school, etc.) do cover psychological services. Please check with your insurance company if you are unsure of what your plan covers. Although direct billing is not currently offered, receipts can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Tax Claims

Fees can be claimed on your income tax return under the Medical Expense Tax Credit.
